The University School of Biotechnology, GGSIPU organized their annual technical fest “POIZE” on 8th April'15, graced by the presence of the Prof. C S Rai as the chief guest. The day started with an inauguration ceremony by lighting the lamp of knowledge, by the chief guest followed by a warm garland of words by Prof. P. C. Sharma, Dean, USBT, kick starting the event. With a variety of events, including Ad-Mad, IDEATE biohunt, poster presentations, Quiz, debate, Technical Paper Presentation and last but the most awaited by USBT students, Class event! the day drew all to the seminar halls, class rooms and running around the corners of the campus.

With participants from all around the campus and other colleges, the one day event saw a mob of enthusiastic students talking, discussing, debating, presenating their views and a zeal of knowledge.
The events were judged by the professors of USBT itself whose comments and guidelines, helped participants improve upon them for further ventures of .

The session of high tea and lunch witnessed a great deal of interaction amongst the faculty, students and other participants. As the day progressed, so did the excitement, reaching it's peak with the class event! With the third year B. Tech (BT) batch, bagging the first prize the class event displayed the department's belief of 'unity and strength'. Participation to this was restricted to only USBT students, where each batch enacted a comedy play displaying the problems faced in the field of Biotechnology. The last and the most awaited event for USS, BIOHUNT, saw an immense number of participation with around 100 students participating, in the hunt of clues with great enthusiasm and eagerness running in them to get the treasure!

The one day technical fest, marched to it's end by felicitating the winners with certificates and exciting prizes such as portable speakers, portable chargers and other electronics. The fest marked it's end by the ceremonial continuity of the legacy of putting handprints on a white canvas, uniting the department as one! And justifying a great end to the fest!
